ABOUT
MY WORK
Anyway,
this style which is commonly mistakenly called 'Manga' is
an amazing art form, it is the truest pictorial form of
the representation of innocence I have come across, the
anatomy of Manga begins in the structure of the face, the
perfect symmetry, the exacting proportional balance of the
features is one of the hardest drawing styles to emulate,
I am in awe at the talents of some of the anime masters,
but I always feel that they let the side down.....
Your
stereotypical Manga is nasty, insidious and inherently violent,
All the major personality traits I abhor. I suppose the
idea in the anime is to suggest that the innocence or goodness
always triumphs over evil - classic metaphors, but there
is bad anime as well as good. I am sick of traveling the
sites to see young virgins being raped by demons with phallic
shaped tentacles. It seems to be this side, plus the extreme
sexual manipulation of unecesarily young girls, that hold
the most sway with the majority of Anime fans, and this
saddens me. I prefer to observe the nicer side of Manga
the sub set "Kawaii" or "cute"....but
even then it never semed to me that the images showed enough
meaning or compasion, I searched for ages to find images
that appealed to me but found none.
Perhaps
its my AB side coming out aswell but I saw the need for
this new style of imagery, that stretched the Anime/AB link.
Diam was one of the only sources I found and some of his/her
imagery I still found to be on morally dodgy ground.
I
like to draw, I like to draw and doodle, I like to fiddle
and pry, I always think I can do better.....so I do. I now
take images that I feel are hinting at a higher purpose
and try to realise that potential. try to take the nastyness
out of the images and set them free onto a higher plain.
I like to see the AB in everything.
As
for the more traditional Pasties, well they are harder,
more challenging faking reality is a real challange, there
are so many levels on which to compete, colour, contrast,
brightness, light and shadow and many more...each of these
factors has to mimic 'real' as close as possible or the
eyes spots the fake and the illusion is shattered.
Are
they any better? well you choose. I have had some great
feedback from many, many viewers and some bad ones too.
I dont care for the negative feedback, but I love to chat
to the other ABs that I find have a similiar taste to me
and have made many, many new friends since starting this
site. So thats my reason,to make friends and thats my work.
